La Crosse County Facilities Department oversees both Goose Island and Veterans Memorial Campgrounds. Goose Island is located amidst the scenic backwaters of the Mississippi River. With over 400 campsites, it is the largest county campground in Wisconsin. Veterans Memorial is located along the banks of the La Crosse River. It offers 120+ shaded, grassy campsites and direct access to a state bike trail.
