world's largest chain of lakes, and numerous streams and rivers provide residents and visitors

The area boasts some of the largest concentrations of fresh water lakes in
the world with legendary fishing of musky, walleye and other sport and pan
fish. Enjoy canoeing, swimming, pontoon boating, speed boating,
sailing, water skiing, windsurfing as well as sandy beaches.
There are thousands of unspoiled acres to bike and hike through, including the stunning 18-mile Bearskin State Park
Trail. As winter changes the scenery from vivid green to snowy white, enjoy 1,500 miles of snowmobile trails and 100 miles of
cross-country ski trails. Consistently ranked as one of the country's top cross-country ski areas, Minocqua's Winter Park is a premier ski destination,
featuring over 75 kilometers of well-groomed trails. Ski another 39 breathtaking miles throughout the Northern
Highlands/American Legion State Forest. Stunning fall colors and wildlife,
including eagles, osprey and loons, makes sightseeing a wonderful pastime.
Horseback riding, top-notch golf courses, wildlife parks,
waterslides, go-carts, summer theater, sunset dinner cruises and more offer
entertainment and fun-filled memories for every member of the family.
