Lodi
Home of Susie the Duck

Located 25 miles north of Madison in the heart of scenic south-central Wisconsin, Lodi has the charm of a rural community and yet is close to nearby city attractions. Lodi prides itself on its three beautiful city parks; a nine-hole golf course within its city limits; a public swimming pool; the absence of parking meters on its streets; and most of all, on Susie the Duck, (or her successor), who has made her home since 1948 in the masonry nest built especially for her and her flock at the Main Street bridge. Susie and her flock every year provide delightful entertainment for both visitors and residents.

Business & Community

Lodi is a vibrant community with an exceptional school system, excellent business climate, and lots of community pride. Lodi is one of three cities in the state of Wisconsin to have its own fair. The fair begins on the first Thursday of July and runs through Sunday. Exhibits include livestock judging, school artwork, baking contests, and local organization display booths. There are carnival rides and games, tractor pulls, the hugely popular demolition derby and a live music beer garden.

Recreation

The friendly small town of Lodi is located in the heart of scenic south-central Wisconsin. From Lake Wisconsin to Gibraltar Rock, the natural landscape surrounding Lodi affords breathtaking views to the hiker, cyclist, or motor tourist.

If you're a first-time visitor, be sure to take a scenic ride across the Wisconsin River aboard the Colsac III, Wisconsin's only free auto ferry. Historic nostalgia adds to the ferry's popularity as the Colsac III is now the only ferry that remains part of the Wisconsin highway system. In Lodi there are many other great ways to spend the day.  Hiking can be enjoyed on the Lodi segment of the Ice Age Trail and all kinds of water activities are available on Lake Wisconsin.

Shopping, Dining & Lodging

In Lodi there's plenty of shopping, dining and lodging. You'll find unique shopping in quaint shops and a variety of wonderful local restaurants. At the end of the day relax in peaceful hotels, motels, bed-and-breakfasts, or nearby campgrounds.
