With over 230 businesses, Delavan is the industrial center of the area. Manufacturers include Borg Indak, Sta-Rite Industries, Andes Candies, Waukesha Cherry-Burrell, Bergamot Brass and Swiss Tech. Manufacturing along with a strong retail, service and agricultural industry give the Delavan area a strong and stable economy.

Delavan is proud of its outstanding educational facilities and community spirit. The community celebrates with special events throughout the year, including Winter Fest, Victorian Spring in May, Scarecrow Fest in September and the Historic Downtown Holiday Open House in November.

Recreation

Outstanding recreation can be found in all seasons in the Delavan area. Delavan Lake is a water enthusiast's dream with great sailing, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, and parasailing. This spring fed lake features great fishing. You'll find perch, northern, walleye, and panfish. One lucky angler recorded a catch of a 50 lb. Northern Pike!  Recent rehabilitation and restocking of the lake guarantees continued excellent game fishing. In the winter ice fishing, ice-skating, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are favorite pastimes on Delavan Lake.

Delavan features great sightseeing. Historic downtown Delavan showcases 19th century architecture. Adventurers can explore the rustic roads filled with scenic countryside and rolling Wisconsin farmland. Golf, horseback riding, greyhound racing and a simulcast center offer activities for all interests!
