With beautiful crystal clear lakes and streams, scenic parks and thousands of acres of forest land, and  hundreds of miles of trails, the Chippewa Falls area offers some of the best year 'round recreation you'll find anywhere! Water enthusiasts enjoy great boating, tubing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming on Lake Wissota, the Chippewa River and many more sparkling  lakes and rivers. The area features over 450 lakes, 21 trout streams and 321 miles of rivers and streams for exceptional fishing, teeming with northern, walleye, bass, muskies, catfish, sturgeon and panfish. Beautiful parks and trails provide a great variety of outdoor family fun including hiking, biking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, hunting, sightseeing and  nature study. In the winter over 300 miles of trails provide great  snowmobiling and cross country skiing. A full range of golfing choices can be found in Chippewa Falls, including a  picturesque 18-hole championship course, 9-hole courses and a disc golf course.
