Trading Post Bar & Grill

 The Trading Post Bar &
Grill is located on the original site of a fur trading post that was built in the 1860's. The new Post overlooks
a large valley with an incredible view of Rattle Snake Creek. Our guests can watch deer drink from the creek, or
send bird seed to our tree top feeder.
The Trading Post Bar & Grill has ample off-street parking, a
separate motorcycle corral, outdoor patio, and wheelchair ramps leading to both the street level and basement
entrances.
Outside, are two enormous, custom carved, wooden pillars depicting early American and Native
American fur traders. The spectacular exterior begs passing motorists to stop and explore the inside.
Log Construction
 Our enormous log structure was built
with massive 24 inch diameter logs. The circa 1860's interior features an exposed post & beam construction,
vaulted ceiling, fieldstone bar, and railroad lanturn lighting fixtures. A large 16x36 ft. covered deck
overlooks the valley and wraps around to an open-air dining area overlooking the patio. There are arrowhead and
tomahawk themes repeated throughout in everything from directional signs to the decorative truss above the
covered deck.

Unique Decor
 Inside it's all about the details. The
walls are covered with antiques and folk art collectibles indicitive of the period including everything from
trophy heads to antique tack and harnass. The two replica Civil War era U.S. Cavalry saddles, with a leather
harness are just one example of the unique decor.
Overhead fairy lights wrap massive black cherry twisted
tree logs suspended
from the ceiling. Replica period railroad lanterns were custom wired for unique booth lighting. The booths
themselves were custom made and upholstered in rattle snake skin vinyl on the seats and a southwestern print saddle blanket pattern
on the back rests. The bar stools are all hand hewn oak
branch and rope construction, each one is a work of art. Even the beer tapper is a custom made object d'art with a
hand hewn, hollowed out, cottonwood log base and solid brass tapper collar & spill tray.
A one-of-a-kind wheel of fortune was custom made from an antique Harley Davidson motorcycle wheel and vintage
numbered Allis-Chalmers machine tags. Guests are encouraged to take it for a spin.
Even the restrooms are a
work of art. Custom made countertops, green glass sink basins, handcrafted wooded stalls, and faux finish faucets
are just a few of the exceptional details.
