Paulson Brothers Ordnance Corp.

Paulson Brothers Ordnance Corporation has been producing Civil War Gun Carriages and related parts since February of 1976.

PBO Corp is the only manufacturer of all-aluminum cannon carriages specifically built for permanent outdoor display. Aluminum is the preferred material for permanent outdoor display. The carriage will be subject to variable environmental factors, particularly rain, heat, and sunlight the year round. The life span of a wooden carriage under these factors is 3-5 years, and iron carriage has a life span of 25-50 years. The aluminum carriage has an estimated live span of 100 years, or more. Maintenance is much less with no RUST or wood rot as experienced in iron or wood.

We carry:

  • All-Metal Gun Carriages

    • This carriage has many advantages. It will not rust and is lightweight (1,000 lbs). It will not fill up with water, freeze and split open as the old cast iron carriages did. Also, the carriage had to look like it was made of wood so oak grain was put into the pattern. The complete carriage looks so real you have to ring the metal to realize that it is not made of wood.

  • Siege Carriages

    • These carriages are similar to each other in their constructions, differing only in their dimensions and some were modified to fit other sizes. In mounting the 8-inch howitzer on the 24-pounder gun carriage, a quoin is used instead of the elevating screw, the howitzer being too short to rest on the screw.

  • All-Metal Gun Carriage Sea Coast

    • The barbette-carriage belongs to that class which has been denominated immovable. That is to say, it is used simply to fire the piece from, and not to transport it except for very short distances.

  • Wooden Field

  • Civil War Rifled Guns

  • Civil War Implements
